Where do I even start?
I mean, seriously!
After such a level of emotional and entertaining blitzkrieg, I ain’t got a clue where to start or what to start with.
So here goes nothing…..
Bill Finger. How many of you know that name?
Pop this question to segregate the real Batman fans amongst the casual one’s.
I too didn’t know till I immersed myself into the batverse decades ago. (For those who are new, it’s the Batman Universe of comic books, animations, series and movies etc etc)
It was a pleasure to see him getting the credit along with Bob Kane as the creator(s) of Batman.
You may ask, why is that so important.
The answer to that question cannot be said. It must be understood. Only the fans will get it.
So let me start there.
For the impatient one’s, its Good. Now get lost.
To the fans (the real one’s), lets continue this. Shall we?

The first thing you will observe is the dark and blurry Gotham. The haven for criminals. That character of the city and its dirty image is recreated well and deserves a HUGE round of applause. Never before have Gotham displayed in such a raw and brutally honest format.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the real Gotham. The most elaborate Gotham ever created in any Batman movie to date!
Not the polished looking Gotham you might have seen in the Nolan era of Batverse .
It was a visual feast for the comic book fans.
Paul Dano. He just came on screen and slapped everyone in the face demanding attention. He just nailed it! I mean freakkin NAILED IT!!!!!!!! He will be known for this role. He just created history.
Let me take a moment and say a prayer for all those who praised the performance by Jim Carrey in Batman Forever as the Riddler. May Jim’s Riddler RIP.
There is no better way to portray this dark, spooky and brilliant villain.
I was one of the first to raise hell when they selected Robert Pattinson to portray the bat. I mean come on!!!! A chocolate lover boy as the dark freakkin knight??? Impossible! Never!
But after I saw The Lighthouse (2019) my opinion changed.
Completely.
Then came Tenet.
But irrespective of what great roles await him in the future, he will be forever known for this. The bat!
This batman is the closest thing you can get to the comic book. He has his feet planted on the ground. He is human and it’s not about dramatic entries flying supervillains. Though the movie provides the thrill of such with no questionable gimmicks.
The sound effects need a special mention. A very very special mention.
The chase remains the best car chase from any batman movie till date . Did I mention the sound effects??
If you are a car fanatic (which I am not) the engine roar of the batmobile is orgasmic!!!
You will notice that the music and sound effects goes into GODMODE from the bomb scene onwards. Oh yeah, there is a bomb scene.
I am planning to head to the theatre again tomorrow evening to watch this masterpiece again.
Yup, again!
To immerse myself into what is happening around Gotham.
To Enjoy each fine detail.
To experience the mindfuckery once again.
To pay attention to each scene and to make sure I didn’t miss anything in the first go.
Probably a third time too.
That’s what fans do.
This one is for the fans.
Long live the Bat!
